It will be hosted by Michalis Panagiotakisis, founder of Heraklion Improv Theater – HIT. 

In case it’s not clear, the Jam WILL BE IN ENGLISH. 

Michalis is one of 3 elected artists invited to come to Bucharest by the improvisation theater Improteca. As part of the program Culture Moves Europe, created by Goethe Institut and through the European Commission, Improteca has won the residence project Improvising Realities.

Have you ever asked yourself one of the following questions:

DEFINITION: an improv jam (or mixer or improvTochitură) is an event where any audience member is invited to come on stage. An improv jam is similar to an open mic event for poets or stand-ups or a practice party for salseros. At an improv jam, a freshman improviser has the opportunity to take the stage with an experienced improviser and play together short form games proposed by the Jam MC.

How does it happen, for the uninitiated?

Announce that you are participating by making a reservation on the phone or by message on Improteca or on the form.

🚌 Come to Improteca on FRIDAY 24th of may 2024, from 7:30 PM (19:30)

Have a chat with who else came. You might even make new friends. Who knows? You add yourself to the ticket. The show begins.

🎬 The first game is announced. Tickets with names are drawn. Maybe you are one of those drawn. You play.

🖼️ The second sample is announced. Other tickets. You are no longer extracted. Give a suggestion.

It is not mandatory to add yourself to the ticket, it is mandatory to give suggestions.

⌛ Just like that until the presenter runs out of games.

To friends of improvisers of all levels;

🕺For those who want to try improvisation and

The good friends who come along with the one who wants to try improvisation;

🍻 To all those who don’t know exactly what to do on Friday evening, so they stop by Improteca for a beer;

Those who like to see improv at first hand (it can be spectacularly beautiful or spectacularly unspectacular)
