Come join us for the 🪁 Festival Jam at Improteca ⛹️‍♀️ Improv Jam on May 9, 2025 – a very special Jam held as part of Improteca – The Festival! In case it’s not clear from the description, this Jam will be in English.

⚠️ Because this will be a very special event, only the first 25 improvisers that will get in the bowl, will play.

DEFINITION:

An improv jam (also called a mixer or an “improvTochitura”) is an event where the audience goes up on stage.

An improv jam is similar to an open mic for poets or stand-up comedians, or a practice party for salsa dancers.

How does it work for first-timers?

You announce you want to participate by reserving a spot via phone, message, or the form.

🚌 You come to Improteca on Friday, starting at 19:30.

You hang out and chat with whoever else shows up. Maybe even make new friends. Who knows? You put your name on a slip of paper.

🎬 The show starts.

The first game is announced. Names are drawn. Maybe you get picked. You play.

🖼️ The second game is announced. New slips. This time you’re not picked. You give a suggestion.

You don’t have to put your name on a slip, but you must give suggestions.

⌛ And it goes on until the host runs out of games.

The Jam is open to:

💃 Improvisers of all levels who want to try it out

Their friends

🍻 Anyone who doesn’t know what to do on a Friday night and swings by Improteca for a beer

Those who like to see improvisation raw and unfiltered (sometimes spectacularly beautiful, sometimes spectacularly… not)
